UK&I Finance Manager - Transformation (PMO)
Location: Runcorn, United Kingdom, with travel across the UK & Ireland region as required
Reporting to: Director of FP&A – UKI
Key stakeholders: UK&I CEO and Executive Leadership Team; Group Transformation PMO; Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer (CSTO) Office
Role Type: Regional / UK & Ireland
Contract: 12-24 month
Job Summary
The UK&I Finance Manager - Transformation (PMO) will support the UK&I leadership team in driving and delivering the region's transformation agenda. The role will personally build and run a disciplined regional PMO cadence across Fit for Growth, Direct Labour Excellence, operational improvement, commercial, technology, and other priority transformation initiatives.
This is a hands-on delivery role; the individual needs a strong finance background and will need to self-serve, sourcing performance KPIs and financial data directly rather than relying on others to provide it. The person will provide visibility, structure, and follow-through across the portfolio; work directly with initiative owners to validate and quantify measurable outcomes; and ensure that UK&I reporting and governance remain aligned with the Group PMO and CSTO Office. The role will combine constructive challenge with hands-on analytical support, helping the leadership team identify risks early, make decisions quickly, and sustain benefits through to P&L impact.
Responsibilities
- Chair the UK&I transformation review and performance sessions, aligned with Group PMO standards and the requirements of the CSTO Office.
- Maintain a single, integrated view of the UK&I transformation portfolio, including initiatives, milestones, accountabilities, risks, dependencies, and decisions required.
- Work hands-on with initiative owners to build and stress-test clear plans, business cases, milestones, KPIs, and action plans, with a pragmatic, analytically grounded focus on delivery.
- Directly track benefits realisation, including baseline validation, run-rate confirmation, and P&L impact, sourcing the underlying data independently.
- Prepare clear, fact-based reporting for the UK&I CFO, UK&I CEO, and regional leadership team, and consolidate inputs required by the Group PMO and CSTO Office.
- Proactively identify delivery risks and roadblocks through direct analysis, drive corrective actions, and escalate issues requiring leadership intervention.
- Embed simple, consistent PMO tools and ways of working that improve accountability without adding unnecessary bureaucracy.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
