About the Role

You will act as the legislative subject matter expert, guide clients through change, and produce high-quality documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on UK and Irish payroll legislation, including PAYE, National Insurance, RTI, auto-enrolment pensions, statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP, ShPP), P11D/benefits in kind, PAYE Modernisation, PRSI, USC and Irish auto-enrolment.
  • Lead payroll transformation activities: requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, configuration validation, parallel runs, go-live and hypercare.
  • Monitor legislative changes from HMRC and Revenue, assess client impact, and advise on compliant implementation.
  • Drive change management: stakeholder engagement, impact assessments, communication plans, training and adoption support.
  • Produce and maintain clear documentation, including process maps, SOPs, business requirements, test scripts, control frameworks and compliance guides.
  • Collaborate with client HR, finance and IT teams, payroll vendors and internal ProHRPay colleagues across time zones.
  • Proactively identify risks, compliance gaps and process improvement opportunities, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Support payroll audits, year-end activities and reconciliation reviews.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
