Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour

The Unarmed Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, visitors, and property. Officers monitor premises, enforce site policies, patrol designated areas, respond to incidents, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned properties.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and access control points.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security violations.
- Complete incident, accident, and daily activity reports accurately and timely.
- Respond to emergencies and contact law enforcement, fire, or medical personnel when necessary.
- Enforce client and company policies and procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and clients.
- Maintain a visible security presence to deter criminal activity.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems, when applicable.
- Perform other security-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED
- Candidates assigned to mobile patrol or vehicle-based posts must meet company eligibility requirements for Mobile Security Officer status, including successful completion of all required driving and insurance qualification reviews
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Previous security, military, law enforcement, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Excellent observation and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
- Basic computer and report-writing skills.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to climb stairs and perform routine patrols.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Schedule & Availability:
- Must be willing to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Overtime opportunities may be available.
Preferred Experience:
- Security Officer experience
- Customer Service experience
- Military background
- Access Control experience
- CCTV monitoring experience
