About The Role
Undergraduate Admissions Officer
INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY
This post is available immediately, on a fixed term basis to cover a secondment, until May 19th 2027. The role is available from FTE 0.78 up to full-time. Applications for secondments will be considered subject to agreement from your current line manager.
The starting salary will be from £33,951 per annum pro rata on Grade E.
This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working - working up to two days a week on Streatham campus including our Anchor Day on Wednesdays and the remainder from home.

We are seeking to appoint a highly organised, experienced person to lead the Undergraduate Admissions Team in providing a responsive, effective, and efficient admissions service, to meet and exceed the expectations of applicants and client Facilities within the University and in pursuit of the University’s Internationalisation Strategy.
The role holder will line manage up to 10 admissions staff, and first and foremost, will need to have an excellent aptitude for managing staff in a collaborative and supportive environment. You will also need excellent organisational skills, including the ability to manage and prioritise own workload and oversee the organisation of others. Strong preference will be given to those who have prior experience of managing people and processes. Ideally, we would prefer someone who has experience of large database systems and the ability to follow a complex set of procedures. An understanding of admissions processes, with some knowledge of either UK or international qualifications would be an advantage. In addition, you will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with colleagues and applicants.

About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience of managing a team and is able to support and communicate changes effectively to ensure the team are kept up to date with key issues affecting them.
- Has a proactive approach to developing working relationships with staff and external stakeholders.
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex issues in a clear and precise manner.
- Shows initiative and has a flexible and pro-active attitude to delivering day-to-day work and projects within a fluid environment.
