UTAC Group Overview
UTAC Group provides vehicle test, validation, and engineering services to customers in the automotive, transport, tyre, petrochemical, defence, and security industries. It is independent and impartial in everything it does.
UTAC Millbrook offers five unique venues, with the capacity to run indoor events for between 30 and 700 delegates and outdoor space to accommodate up to 5,000. The Events team at UTAC Millbrook is responsible for the delivery of a wide range of experiential events, mainly working with agency clients for customers in the automotive industry and a small number of other clients. These events primarily comprise automotive product launches & associated training and exhibitions, with a significant proportion using their famous test tracks.
Job Description
While working at UTAC Millbrook, you will discover a lot about your own working style and learn valuable interpersonal skills as you adapt to life in a busy events department. As part of a small team, you will build strong internal relationships, not only with your immediate colleagues but also with management and other departments within UTAC. The placement will allow you to develop your network within the events industry as you interact with a wide range of suppliers and high-profile clients.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assisting Event Managers from planning to delivery of all events at UTAC Millbrook
- Taking ownership and responsibility for managing Aston Martin events
- Selecting, briefing, and managing external suppliers
- Liaising with internal departments to ensure smooth running of events
- Assistance in undergraduate recruitment for the following year
- Completion of all administrative tasks relating to events
- Managing high-quality events that exceed customer expectation
- Acting in accordance with the behaviors for UTAC staff at all times

Qualifications
- Studying bachelor’s degree in Event Management or similar (projected 2:1 or above)
- GCSE English and Maths at grade 5 or above
Preferred Experience
- Working or volunteering at events
- Working within a hospitality environment
Skills & Personal Behaviors

- Customer facing and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Competency in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)

Other
- Flexibility to work occasional long hours and some weekends where necessary
- All applicants will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have their own transport as public transport is not available
- Willing to undergo a DBS check
