The Opportunity

A Pharmaron placement will provide you with the opportunity gain work experience in a pharmaceutical research environment, and help you kickstart your career. If you have an interest in drug metabolism studies and want to learn more about Met-ID, ADME and more then apply for our 12-month placement starting in summer 2027.

As part of the placement, you will work closely with your supervisor to perform a broad range of laboratory-based tasks on metabolism studies for new product development based on global regulatory requirements.

There will be hands on training to enable you to perform a variety of techniques used within metabolism studies including Mass Spectometry, LC-MS and In Vitro. Understanding, interpreting and reporting results will also be a key aspect of the placement role. You will also gain valuable GLP experience and gain an understanding of regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Studying towards an undergraduate degree in either a Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacology or a related chemistry based discipline.
  • Predicted 1st or 2:1 degree classification (or equivalent)
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Good problem-solving skills

  • Well-organised and confident to work independently
