Renewal Connect Team | Leeds | Hybrid Working

- You'll work across a wide range of Professional & Management Risks, charity and not-for-profit business, gaining exposure to multiple trading platforms including Acturis, Websure, and IDEAL.
- The role offers variety, volume, and the opportunity to develop strong technical underwriting skills across a diverse portfolio.
- You'll be joining a close-knit team where colleagues are supported, developed, and encouraged to progress. Many members of the team have already moved into more senior underwriting positions or wider opportunities across the business.
What you'll be doing:
As an Underwriter, you'll manage a high-volume portfolio of renewals while delivering exceptional service to broker partners.
Responsibilities include:
- Underwriting commercial insurance risks within your delegated authority
- Managing renewals and mid-term adjustments across a varied portfolio
- Working closely with brokers to retain and secure business
- Using underwriting judgement to assess risk and make effective decisions
- Developing strong relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders
- Working across multiple systems including Acturis and broker trading platforms
- Prioritising and managing workloads within a fast-paced renewals environment
- Supporting wider team initiatives and projects

What we're looking for:
We're keen to speak with candidates who have:
- Commercial insurance underwriting experience
- Strong organisational and workload management skills
- A technical and analytical approach to underwriting
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
Highly desirable:
- Acturis experience
- Commercial renewals experience
- Experience within Professional, Management Risk, or Charity insurance products
- CII qualifications or active CII studies
