We're hiring! Join a leading global insurance organisation as an Underwriting Assistant, supporting a busy International Underwriting team and playing a key role in the day-to-day delivery of underwriting operations within a fast-paced London Market environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with underwriting support, insurance administration or policy processing experience who is looking to further develop their career within a highly respected insurer. Working closely with Underwriters, Brokers and Operations teams, you'll help ensure the efficient processing of underwriting activities while maintaining high standards of service and accuracy.
🔧 What You'll Be Doing
- Provide administrative and operational support to Underwriters across multiple lines of business
- Process submissions, new business, renewals, endorsements and policy documentation
- Maintain accurate underwriting records and data within internal systems
- Liaise with brokers and internal stakeholders to obtain outstanding information and resolve queries
- Support the preparation and issuance of policy documentation and insurance contracts
- Assist with premium booking, credit control queries and documentation management
- Monitor underwriting workflows and ensure service level agreements are met
- Support reporting, data analysis and management information requirements
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and operational excellence projects
- Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, regulatory requirements and internal procedures

🧠 What You'll Bring
- Previous experience as an Underwriting Assistant, Underwriting Technician or Insurance Administrator
- Experience working within a Lloyd's, London Market or commercial insurance environment
- Understanding of underwriting processes, policy administration and insurance documentation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple tasks within a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Experience using insurance or underwriting systems would be advantageous
- A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving
