About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Credit Controller to join MX Underwriting. This role sits at the intersection of underwriting operations, delegated authority administration, and technical accounting. You will take ownership of premium and claims bordereaux processes, account reconciliations, and stakeholder engagement.

Acting as a key technical contact within the business, you will ensure the accurate administration, reconciliation and reporting of risks whilst maintaining high standards of data quality, financial control and service delivery.

The successful candidate will have experience managing premium and claims accounting activities within an insurer, MGA, delegated authority or London Market environment and be confident working with bordereaux data and reconciliations.

What you’ll be doing

  • Reconcile premium and commission transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies in liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end reporting activities.
  • Monitor outstanding balances and support collections and settlement activities where required.
  • Maintain accurate records and audit trails in line with internal controls.
  • Prepare, review and process:
    • Risk bordereaux
    • Paid bordereaux
    • Aged Debt report
  • Validate bordereaux against agreed reporting requirements and contractual terms.
  • Ensure timely receipt and processing of bordereaux from brokers, coverholders and TPAs.
  • Identify data quality issues, anomalies and reporting gaps.
  • Work closely with underwriting, finance and claims teams to resolve exceptions and discrepancies.
  • Produce MI and reporting relating to bordereaux submissions, settlements and outstanding items.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
