Underwriting Operations Manager

Our client, a global insurer, is seeking an Underwriting Operations Manager on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.

The role will take ownership of key underwriting operations, working closely with senior stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee policy administration, data entry, data quality and underwriting controls.
  • Manage the policy administration system, offshore teams and third-party providers.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders, including Heads of Underwriting, the CUO and CFO.
  • Drive improvements across processes, controls and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with Lloyd’s and London Market requirements.

Key Requirements

  • 5+ years’ insurance experience, with strong Lloyd’s/London Market exposure.
  • Experience in underwriting operations, policy processing and administration systems.
  • Experience managing offshore teams and external service providers.
  • Strong knowledge of data quality, controls and QA.
  • CII qualification advantageous but not essential.

Liverpool Street, City of London — 3 days onsite / 2 days from home

Salary

Up to £90k base + discretionary bonus, pension & benefits

Contract Type

FTC - 12 months initially, with potential to extend to 18 months
