Collaboration Consultant
The Collaboration Consultant role is an integral part of the solution and service delivery function of the business. It incorporates a wide range of activities, including project deployment, inputting into solution and service designs and second line technical support.
The Cinos Engineering Department, under which this role sits, serves to deploy and implement various solutions ranging from ‘out the box’ collaboration endpoints through to complex multipurpose conferencing solutions. These solutions are often integrated with wider audio-visual systems.
Primary Role Specific Responsibilities
- Implementing solutions and services within your architectural discipline (Unified Communications & Collaboration)
- Leading complex technical engagements alongside Audio Visual Engineers
- Engaging with customers to understand business and technical requirements; equally conveying technical prerequisites and requirements to successfully deploy a solution or service
- Contributing to, and executing technical design, test and implementation documentation in line with our Project Delivery Methodology
- Review and advise on technical solution design
- Review and advise on necessary changes to system design drawings
- Pre site system staging configuration and testing
- System commissioning and handover
- Planning AV, IP Networks, working with the client to ensure IT protocols and network security policies are adhered to.
- Excellent technical knowledge and awareness of details to be able to recognise when technical problems are developing in the various disciplines, and to initiate appropriate corrective actions
- Follow up directly any issues or technical questions with manufacturers
- Proving second- and third-line support for incidents raised on the Cinos helpdesk
- Ensure all works are completed to Cinos internal standards
- Excellent / Accurate interpretation of any provided technical documentation to ensure on site install works are carried out correctly and accurately.

Experience Required
- Minimum 3 years installing and commissioning UC equipment / systems
- Essential hands on, enterprise (>1000 user) design and deployment experience with:
- Cisco Unified Communications Manager (v8 to current)
- Cisco Unity Connection (v8 to current)
- Cisco Unified Contact Centre Express (v8 to current)
- Cisco VCS / Expressway (any version)
- PSTN and SIP connectivity
- Desirable hands on, enterprise design and deployment experience with:
- Cisco Meeting Server
- Cisco TMS
- Arc / alternative attendant console solutions
- Redbox / alternative call recording solutions
Personal Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Excellent approach to teamwork
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Always maintain a professional approach to client / customer interaction
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- A good level of commercial awareness
- An exceptional Eye for detail to deliver a 1st class project
- Willingness to look for continued improvement in all works undertaken
- Excellent time management
- Trustworthiness and honesty
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Ability to self-motivate
- Good administration and organisation
- Hold a UK Driving License
- Hold no known barriers preventing government and military level security vetting processes
- Willingness to work away overnight anywhere across the UK or internationally.

- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the Company’s standards
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone

Core working hours are 8:30am–5:30pm UK time, with flexibility depending on team needs.
