Unified Communications Lead
Outside IR35 | £90-£95 per Hour
Ready to lead the design and delivery of secure, enterprise-scale communication environments? This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Unified Communications Lead to take ownership of complex collaboration solutions, enabling secure voice, video and messaging services across highly secure and isolated network environments.
The Opportunity
As the Unified Communications Lead, you will drive the architecture, integration and delivery of mission-critical communications platforms, ensuring seamless collaboration across multiple security domains. You'll combine deep technical expertise with leadership capability to deliver resilient, secure and high-performing solutions.
What You'll Do
- Design and deploy secure Cross-Domain Solutions (CDS), guards and Multi-Level Security (MLS) gateways.
- Enable the secure exchange of voice, video and chat services between separate classified or isolated networks.
- Lead the integration and standardisation of complex, multi-vendor Unified Communications environments.
- Deliver interoperability across technologies including:
- SIP
- H.323
- Video Teleconferencing (VTC)
- Instant Messaging
- Presence Services
- Architect fault-tolerant, low-latency communication networks.
- Provide technical leadership throughout the full solution lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with information assurance, governance and security requirements.
- Work closely with stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable collaboration capabilities.

What You'll Bring
- Proven experience leading enterprise Unified Communications programmes and solutions.
- Strong expertise in secure communications and cross-domain architectures.
- Experience with CDS, guards, MLS gateways and secure information exchange technologies.
- Deep understanding of SIP, H.323, VTC and enterprise collaboration platforms.
- Strong knowledge of information assurance, security governance and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder management and technical leadership skills.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams delivering complex communication solutions.
