About the Role
As the Unit Manager, you will provide clinical, professional, and managerial leadership for our ward-based multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver high-quality care within the framework of the multi-disciplinary team and by working clinically as a member of the team, you will ensure a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical, professional, and managerial leadership for the ward-based multidisciplinary team
- Deliver high-quality care within the framework of the multi-disciplinary team
- Ensure a positive patient experience
- Hold direct line management responsibility for the senior nursing team and by proxy the wider nursing and 24/7 support worker workforce
- Aim to oversee the daily needs of the patient cohort and ensuring safe service provision
- Ability to troubleshoot and react responsively and appropriately to daily challenges to service provision, including staffing challenges, patient concern, and patient safety issues
- Demonstrate positive risk management and champion the Home First and last 1000 days principles in supporting patient flow through the bedded unit
- Promote and adopt a positive learning environment (with support) to demonstrate proactive management of patient safety themes and give quality assurance
- Aim to support the delivery of high-quality harm-free care with oversight of standards of service, KPIs, CQUINs, and other audited service targets

Requirements
We invite applications from nurses and allied health professionals with a passion for working within rehabilitation and frailty. The service holds a key role in supporting patients in their rehabilitation and recovery journey after hospital admissions - and demonstrates excellent clinical outcomes!
