This vacancy is open to employees of the University of Nottingham only.

About The Role

You will join the established School of Medicine Academic Unit Administration Team and be expected to lead the team with day-to-day operations covering a broad remit including HR, finance, facilities (including health and safety) and governance. You will be required to work independently to support, supervise and liaise directly with colleagues across all four academic units in the School to enable effective demand management.

About You

You will demonstrate relevant knowledge and experience in academic unit operational management. You will have demonstrable experience of interpreting and applying policies and experience of establishing new/improving existing complex operating procedures and processes. You must be able to evidence a high degree of personal initiative, responsibility and self-motivation, with a proactive approach to problem solving. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to confidently use your own discretion and judgement when problem solving/providing advice to obtain the optimum solution.

This position is fixed term until 30 June 2027. Your working hours will be full time, 36.25 hours per week.
