About the Regulatory & Product Compliance team:

The Regulatory & Product Compliance team in the UK plays a central role in helping the firm operate responsibly, meet its regulatory obligations and deliver good outcomes for clients.

We are an independent second line function, providing oversight, advice and challenge across the business. We work closely with senior management and colleagues across Private Clients, Model Portfolio Services, Discretionary Portfolio Management, Global Products & Solutions, Risk, and other functions to ensure regulatory requirements are understood and appropriately embedded within the firm’s day-to-day activities.

Our role is not simply to interpret regulation. We aim to understand the business, its clients and the regulatory risks it faces so that we can provide practical, proportionate and commercially informed guidance.

The team’s responsibilities include:

  • Compliance Advisory: providing advice and guidance to the business on regulatory requirements, new initiatives, products, services and client-related matters
  • Compliance Monitoring & Assurance: assessing whether the firm’s policies, processes and controls are operating effectively and identifying areas where improvements may be required
  • Regulatory Change: supporting the Legal function in monitoring developments in the regulatory environment, assessing their impact on the firm and supporting the implementation of required changes
  • Conduct & Client Outcomes: supporting the firm in maintaining high standards of conduct and ensuring the interests of clients and the delivery of good client outcomes remain central to decision-making
  • Policies and Governance: maintaining the firm’s compliance framework, policies and procedures and providing relevant reporting and management information to senior management and governance committees
  • Regulatory Engagement: supporting the firm’s relationship and interactions with regulators, including regulatory notifications, information requests and reporting obligations
  • Training & Culture: helping colleagues across the firm understand their regulatory responsibilities and promoting a strong culture of compliance, integrity and individual accountability.
  • Business & Strategic Change: providing compliance input into projects and strategic initiatives to ensure regulatory considerations are identified and addressed at an early stage.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

YOUR CHALLENGE

During the programme, you will:

  • Work alongside experienced Compliance professionals, initially supporting the team with research, analysis, monitoring and day-to-day compliance activities
  • Have the opportunity to work with colleagues at different levels across the firm, gaining insight into areas such as investment management, client relationships, operations and governance. This will help you understand not only what the regulatory requirements are, but why they matter and how they influence the decisions a wealth management firm makes
