This is a 12-month paid internship starting September 2027. The role is head office based requiring a minimum of 2 days a week to be worked from our office in Winnersh.

Introducing the Opportunity

The UK & Ireland Obesity & Liver Health team is preparing the business for the potential launch of new medicines in obesity and related metabolic conditions. The team brings together colleagues from across the organization to understand the market, prepare for launch and ensure we are ready to meet the needs of customers and patients.

As a Commercial Strategy & Private Market Intern, you will support this work by helping us understand the changing private healthcare market, organize and analyze information, track key projects and turn insights into clear outputs for the team. You will contribute to real launch-preparation activities while developing practical experience across commercial strategy, customer engagement and the wider pharmaceutical business.

What You Will Do

  • Research and analyze the UK private healthcare market, helping the team understand customers, competitors, patient needs and emerging trends.
  • Own a defined commercial project – for example, analyzing how private healthcare providers attract and retain patients, identifying opportunities to improve the customer or patient journey, or evaluating how emerging market changes could affect launch plans – taking the work from initial research through to findings and recommendations, with support from the team.
  • Work with colleagues across Commercial, Marketing, Medical, Market Access, Customer Experience and other teams, gaining exposure to how different functions work together to prepare for a potential medicine launch.
  • Use customer and market data, business intelligence tools and internal systems including AI to track trends, analyze performance and turn information into clear insights for the team.
  • Deliver high-quality analysis and project outputs that inform commercial planning, strengthen launch readiness and help the team prioritize where to focus time and investment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
