These are 12-month paid internships starting September 2027. The roles are head office based requiring a minimum of 2 days a week to be worked from our office in Winnersh.

Introducing the Opportunity

Join our Finance & Controlling team and gain first-hand experience of how finance supports business decision-making across a global healthcare company. This internship offers a unique opportunity to rotate through several finance functions, including Financial Accounting, Commercial Finance, and Manufacturing Finance, providing a broad understanding of how different teams work together to drive business success. You will support real business activities, contribute to projects, analyse financial information, and collaborate with colleagues across the organisation. This role is ideal for students who are curious about business, enjoy problem-solving, and want to see how finance helps turn data into meaningful decisions.

What You Will Do

  • Support the finance function in providing timely, reliable, and relevant financial information to the finance and business stakeholders both locally and at a corporate level.
  • Support the system inputs for budgets, forecasts, and other financial plans for local and corporate stakeholder review.
  • Support the maintenance of financial systems integrity on an ongoing basis.
  • Support the maintenance and accuracy of the relevant sections of the balance sheet & income statement on an ongoing basis.
  • Apply technical knowledge and experience to deliver an allocated university intern project.

Essential Requirements

  • Currently studying for a Finance/Accounting/Business/Economics/Mathematics degree and completing a placement year as part of the course.
  • A minimum of three A levels at grades BBB minimum.
  • The right to work in the UK for the full duration of the internship.
  • The ability to travel independently to the usual place of work and, where required, to other sites.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and willing to learn new systems and digital tools.

Desirable Requirements

  • Previous experience gained through part-time work, university projects, student societies, or internships involving data analysis, business, finance, or administration.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications used for analysing and presenting information.
  • An interest in finance, accounting, business operations, or data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience working collaboratively as part of a team, either through academic, extracurricular, or professional activities.
