This is a 12-month paid internship starting September 2027. The role is head office based requiring a minimum of 2 days a week to be worked from our office in Winnersh.
Introducing the Opportunity
The CRM Marketing team plays a key role in helping Boehringer Ingelheim improve outcomes for patients living with cardiovascular, renal and metabolic diseases. Working across marketing, customer engagement, market development and digital channels, the team develops innovative programmes that support healthcare professionals and health systems across the UK and Ireland.
As a CRM Marketing Intern, you will gain hands-on experience working on real marketing projects, supporting campaign execution, customer engagement activities, analytics and content development. You will work with colleagues across commercial, medical and market access teams whilst developing valuable skills in pharmaceutical marketing, project management and AI-enabled ways of working.
What You Will Do
- Support the delivery of CRM marketing and customer engagement initiatives.
- Assist with the development of marketing materials, presentations and digital content in line with company processes.
- Analyse campaign, customer and market data to generate insights and identify opportunities for optimisation.
- Support omnichannel engagement projects across email, digital and field-based channels.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Medical, Market Access and External Affairs colleagues on cross-functional projects.
- Track project timelines, actions and performance metrics to support successful delivery of key business priorities.
- Contribute ideas and recommendations that help improve customer experience and engagement.

Essential Requirements
- Currently studying for a Marketing, Business Management, Biomedical Science or a related subject and completing a placement year as part of the course.
- A minimum of three A levels at grades ABB, or equivalent.
- The right to work in the UK for the full duration of the internship.
- The ability to travel independently to the usual place of work and, where required, to other sites.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
- Interest in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, marketing, digital engagement

Desirable Requirements
- Experience using AI tools to support productivity or content creation.
- Experience analysing data or creating reports and dashboards.
- Previous involvement in university societies, projects or marketing activities.
- Familiarity with digital marketing platforms or social media analytics.
