Hawkins\Brown is currently looking for a talented, motivated, and ambitious Urban Designer to work across a variety of projects, enhancing and supporting the Urban Design/Masterplanning disciplines within our studio.

The role can be based in either our London or Dublin studio. Please apply to the vacancy for your preferred location.

We are looking for a team player and critical thinker with excellent communication skills to join our busy creative studio. The ideal candidate should have exceptional analytical, design, and presentation skills, and be able to communicate their work through a variety of media, including sketching, CAD drawings, verbal, and visual presentations.

Candidates should be aware of the social, cultural, and economic dimensions of masterplanning work and demonstrate proactiveness in engaging with these topics both within the studio and externally. Applicants will have a strong design background, with 2-5 years’ experience in Urban Design or Masterplanning. Experience of being part of teams delivering innovative masterplans and urban design projects is essential, preferably within a UK or European context.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of planning policies and the planning process in Ireland or the UK and an ability to produce coherent and well-resolved design concepts and masterplanning schemes. Candidates must have excellent 2D and 3D CAD skills (AutoCAD / Revit / Rhino), along with fluency in Adobe (Photoshop / Illustrator / InDesign) and confidence engaging with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
