Senior Legal Counsel (US qualified)

London
£120K-£130K

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including:
    • SaaS subscription agreements
    • Master services agreements
    • Licensing agreements
    • Vendor and procurement contracts
    • Partner and reseller agreements
    • NDAs and other commercial documentation
  • Lead legal support for US-based customer and supplier negotiations.
  • Advise the business on legal and regulatory issues affecting SaaS and technology operations in the US and internationally.
  • Partner with sales and customer success teams to support revenue generation while managing legal and commercial risk.
  • Provide guidance on data privacy, cybersecurity, AI, intellectual property, and product-related legal matters.
  • Support development and scaling of legal processes, templates, playbooks, and contracting workflows.
  • Advise on compliance frameworks, corporate governance, and internal policies.
  • Instruct and manage external counsel where required, particularly on specialist US law matters.
  • Support strategic projects including product launches, market expansion, partnerships, and corporate transactions.
  • Deliver practical training to internal stakeholders on legal risk, contracting, and compliance topics.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified lawyer in at least one US jurisdiction, with current good standing.
  • Significant post-qualification experience, ideally gained in a reputable law firm and/or in-house technology business.
  • Strong experience advising SaaS, software, technology, or other high-growth digital businesses.
