Description

Our US Tax team supports a diverse range of clients, from individuals and business owners to corporate organisations. As the team continues to grow, we are looking for a Tax Assistant to join our expanding US Tax team, which forms part of our wider Private Client Tax practice. This role would suit a motivated and proactive individual looking to build a career in US Tax. Previous US tax experience is not required, as full training and support will be provided.

As a Tax Assistant, you will support a portfolio of US tax clients, assisting with the delivery of high-quality compliance services while gaining exposure to advisory and tax planning projects. Working closely with colleagues across the wider Private Client Tax team, you will contribute specialist US tax expertise and help deliver an integrated service to clients with US tax requirements.

Following your settling-in period, you will further develop your technical knowledge through study towards the Enrolled Agent (EA) qualification, gaining the skills and expertise needed to develop a successful career in this specialist area of tax.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work on a portfolio of US clients: be involved in all aspects of the tax compliance and wider relationship management.
  • Prepare US tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and estates.
  • Assist in maintaining strong relationships with clients, identifying missing information for tax preparation and communicating this in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ability to manage workload to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider tax team.
  • Focus on continuing to develop your technical knowledge with the support of the team, including studies toward tax qualifications such as Enrolled Agent.
