S.E. Tax Professionals Ltd is a specialist international tax firm serving U.S. citizens and business owners living and operating internationally, with a particular focus on U.S.-U.K. cross-border tax matters.

We are seeking an experienced U.S. Tax Reviewer

This role is expected to require approximately 15-20 hours per week initially, with potential for increased hours.

Responsibilities

  • Review U.S. individual and business tax returns for technical accuracy and completeness.
  • Review Forms 1040, 1120, 1120-S and 1065.
  • Review international reporting forms including FBAR, Form 8938, Form 5471, Form 5472 and related filings where applicable.
  • Identify technical issues, risks, omissions and planning opportunities.
  • Provide review notes and technical guidance to preparers.
  • Research complex tax issues and support advisory engagements.
  • Participate in client meetings where technical input is required.
  • Assist with developing and improving review procedures and quality control processes.

Requirements

  • Must be physically located in the United Kingdom.
  • EA or US CPA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of U.S. tax preparation and review experience.
  • Experience reviewing tax returns prepared by others.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. individual and/or business taxation.
  • Experience with international, expatriate or cross-border tax matters is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
