Ready to keep things moving?
We’re looking for an organised, proactive and customer-focused Used Car Progressor to join our team in Basildon, reporting directly into our Ford Sales Manager.
This is a key role in making sure our used vehicles move smoothly from arrival through preparation and on to the customer. You’ll be the person keeping everyone informed, chasing progress, solving problems and making sure vehicles are ready to go as quickly as possible.
If you’re someone who enjoys being busy, working with different teams and taking pride in getting things done right, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing
- Manage the vehicle handover diary with the Sales team, ensuring accurate delivery dates and times.
- Keep vehicle statuses updated and ensure work is progressed through the Service department without delay.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external suppliers to match orders and make handovers happen smoothly.
- Help reduce the time between vehicle order and handover, with a focus on achieving same-day deliveries wherever possible.
- Keep customers engaged by confidently sending videos of their awaiting vehicle using the latest devices and technology.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
