Job Title: Used Car Strategy Specialist – OEM Manufacturer
Location: Chiswick Park, West London, W4 – Head Office
Salary: Up to £55,000 + 15% bonus opportunity + excellent company benefits
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent – Monday to Friday (office based 5 days)

They are now recruiting for a Used Car Strategy Specialist to be based from their head office in Chiswick Park, West London.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Used Car Strategy Specialist to lead and develop a national used vehicle strategy for a growing automotive brand. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping used car performance, supporting a franchise dealer network, protecting residual values, and enhancing the customer experience through a market-leading approved used vehicle programme.
Working closely with internal departments including Finance, Residual Value, Remarketing, and Network Development teams, you will drive profitability, optimise stock management, and support the long-term success of the brand's used vehicle operations across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
Performance & Network Leadership
- Monitor and analyse network-wide used vehicle sales performance, stock turn, profitability, and key KPIs.
- Identify market trends and develop strategies to increase sales volumes and margins.
- Work directly with franchise dealerships to maximise used car performance and profitability.
- Provide guidance on vehicle sourcing, stock management, pricing strategies, and vehicle presentation.
- Support dealers in achieving and maintaining high operational and brand standards.
- Collaborate with finance teams and external finance providers to create and implement compelling retail finance campaigns that drive sales and customer acquisition.

Strategic Development & Residual Value Protection
- Lead the ongoing development and management of the approved used vehicle programme.
- Enhance programme benefits, including warranty offerings, vehicle inspection standards, and customer commitments.
- Work closely with Residual Value and Remarketing teams to support pricing strategies and protect long-term vehicle values.
- Monitor supply channels and market activity to safeguard brand equity and maintain a competitive market position.
Remarketing & Stock Management
- Support the management of internal fleet returns, demonstrator vehicles, and company car defleet operations.
- Ensure quality used vehicle stock is distributed effectively throughout the dealer network.
- Assist in developing disciplined stock allocation and remarketing strategies.
Digital Strategy & Compliance
- Implement and manage dealership audit processes to ensure compliance with approved used programme standards.
- Monitor adherence to vehicle preparation requirements, inspection processes, and presentation guidelines.
- Analyse competitor activity, used vehicle pricing trends, market supply levels, and wider economic factors affecting demand and vehicle values.
- Provide regular insights and recommendations to support commercial decision-making.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience within a Used Car Management, Used Vehicle Operations, Remarketing, or Automotive Strategy role.
- Experience gained either at OEM/manufacturer level or within a senior position in a large automotive retail group.
- Strong understanding of the UK used vehicle market, including CAP HPI valuations, auction channels, stock acquisition, and remarketing processes.
- Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to analyse performance data and develop effective sales strategies.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with experience influencing dealer networks and driving performance improvements.
- Experience managing or developing an Approved Used Vehicle programme would be highly advantageous.
- A proactive, analytical, and results-focused approach.
