- Coordinate and oversee UAT execution, balancing hands-on testing activity with leadership and assurance responsibilities.
- Manage defect triage, prioritisation, escalation and remediation activities, working closely with delivery and testing teams.
- Lead stakeholder engagement across business, operational, delivery and technical teams to ensure solutions meet user and operational requirements.
- Produce regular reporting and dashboards providing visibility of testing progress, defects, risks and release readiness.
- Act as the key point of accountability for UAT sign-off and release recommendations.
- Facilitate defect review sessions, testing workshops, show-and-tell demonstrations and business readiness activities.
- Partner closely with Business Change teams and Change Champions to ensure successful adoption and operational readiness.
- Support release management activities, including release planning, readiness reviews and deployment coordination when required.
- Assist with lower environment management, test data requirements and system change coordination across delivery teams and third-party suppliers.
- Drive continuous improvement, championing best practice testing standards and quality assurance maturity across APFN.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
