User Experience Designer

At Biscuit, our mission is to make pet wellbeing easy, fun and rewarding for members – leading to happier and healthier pets. We understand the importance of our connection to our pets and the pivotal role they play in our lives.

We've got a backlog full of good ideas and not enough design hands to get through it. So we're bringing in another User Experience Designer to help us design features that dogs, and the people holding the lead, will actually notice.

You'll take real problems from the backlog, design the whole journey and see it through to what ships, working side by side with our engineers and in-house design team. You'll be joining a team with an established design system and design files, so you'll be building on what's already there rather than starting from a blank canvas. We need someone who can get stuck in from week one.

Your Role

  • Product Problem Solving: Frame product problems clearly, assess trade-offs, and determine what is worth building before moving into design.
  • Product Thinking: Understand the wider product vision behind individual features and contribute ideas for how the product and user experience could evolve.
  • End-to-End UX Design: Design complete user journeys from first-time use through to long-term engagement, including onboarding, empty states, loading states, error states and edge cases.
  • Interaction and UI Design: Create clear, intuitive and polished interfaces in Figma, balancing user needs, product goals and technical constraints.
  • Engineering Collaboration: Work closely with engineers to understand technical complexity, produce clear specifications and remain involved throughout implementation.
  • Prototyping and Exploration: Rapidly explore concepts, flows and interaction patterns to validate ideas before committing significant development effort.
  • AI-Assisted Workflow: Use AI tools to accelerate prototyping, explore design directions and produce assets while maintaining strong product and design judgement.
  • Design Quality: Review implemented features and work with engineers to ensure the shipped experience matches the intended design and interaction.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
