Role Description
This is a remote contract role for a User Interface Designer. The designer will create intuitive and visually engaging user interfaces for web and mobile applications, translating product requirements and user needs into clear designs and interaction patterns. Day-to-day tasks include producing mockups and design assets, collaborating with team members and refining designs based on feedback, usability findings, and performance considerations. The role also involves ensuring design consistency across platforms, preparing assets for front-end implementation, and contributing to design guidelines and component libraries.

- Candidates should possess strong User Interface Design and Visual Design skills, with a portfolio showcasing modern, accessible, and responsive interfaces.
- Candidates should possess experience in Mockups and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) to rapidly explore and iterate on design concepts.
- Candidates should possess a solid understanding of User Experience (UX) principles, including user flows, information architecture, and usability best practices.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with Front-End Development concepts (e.g., HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript) to ensure designs are technically feasible and implementation-ready.
- Relevant qualifications include experience designing for web and mobile products, knowledge of design systems, and awareness of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
- Additional beneficial qualifications include strong communication and collaboration skills, ability to work independently in a remote environment, and prior experience in startups or distributed teams.
