User Researcher - SC eligible - £400/day via Umbrella - 5 Month Contract - Manchester (Hybrid) - SCC Flex Contract
We are seeking an experienced User Researcher to support a large-scale programme and to influence service design, product priorities, and user outcomes through evidence-based research.
Your Responsibilities as the User Researcher
- Conduct user research with stakeholders and end users to understand needs and service demand.
- Identify barriers, pain points, and opportunities for service improvement.
- Assess accessibility, inclusivity, and potential user exclusion risks.
- Gather evidence to support prioritisation and delivery decisions.
- Translate research findings into practical recommendations for teams and stakeholders.

Requirements
As a successful User Researcher, you will have:
- Proven experience as a User Researcher within public sector or large-scale service environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
- Ability to independently plan and deliver research activities.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary agile teams.
- Confidence challenging assumptions through evidence-based research.
- Ability to communicate actionable insights to delivery teams.
