User Researcher
Telford | 6 Month Contract
SC Clearance Required
We’re looking for an experienced User Researcher to join a multidisciplinary digital delivery team, helping to improve complex digital services used by a wide range of customers and users.
This is a hands-on research role where you’ll work closely with Product Managers, Service Designers, Content Designers, Business Analysts, and Developers to understand user needs, identify pain points, and use research evidence to shape better digital experiences.
What you’ll be doing:
- Planning and conducting qualitative and quantitative user research
- Running user interviews, contextual research, and usability testing
- Testing prototypes, digital journeys, content, and live services
- Recruiting and engaging appropriate research participants
- Analysing findings and identifying key themes and user pain points
- Turning research findings into clear, actionable recommendations
- Presenting insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Working within Agile multidisciplinary teams across discovery, alpha, beta, and live phases
- Ensuring research considers accessibility, inclusion, and diverse user needs

What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience as a User Researcher, UX Researcher, or similar
- Strong hands-on experience with user interviews and usability testing
- Experience working with Product, Design, and Technology teams
- Experience working in an Agile delivery environment
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Experience researching complex digital services
- Good understanding of accessibility and inclusive research
- Experience within government, public sector, financial services, or another highly regulated environment would be advantageous
