Role: Utilities Accounts Coordinator

Location: Blackburn, BB1 2FA

Job Type: Full Time - Permanent

Salary: Up to £28,000

Bonus Scheme: Bonus Incentive

Company: EG On The Move

About The Role

We’re looking for a proactive and highly organised Utilities Accounts Coordinator to join our dynamic Utilities and EV team. In this role, you’ll take ownership of managing utility accounts, ensuring accurate billing, monitoring energy usage, and helping the business make smart, cost-efficient decisions.

You’ll work closely with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to keep our utility operations running smoothly, negotiate effective agreements, and play a key part in driving our sustainability and energy-efficiency goals. If you bring strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to juggle priorities while communicating clearly, this is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-moving, future-focused area of the business.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and process utility invoices across electricity, gas, water, and solar, ensuring accuracy and timely payment in collaboration with Finance.
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies with suppliers, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Monitor and analyse utility usage and spend across all sites, ensuring accurate financial recording and reporting.
  • Coordinate metering activities, including scheduling field appointments and completing Change of Occupancy (COO) processes.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of utility contracts, meter data, applications, regulatory forms, and all key correspondence.
  • Provide quarterly solar readings, generate required reports from utility systems, and support data requests for audits or sustainability reporting.
  • Track water consumption, identifying and escalating irregular usage or potential issues.
  • Support contract renewal activities by collating and validating required utility data.
  • Ensure accurate and consistent utility data management across suppliers, consultants, and internal systems.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including enhanced tracking, reporting processes, and sustainability or energy-efficiency projects.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
