Utilities Project Manager
Bristol preferred | Nottingham & Dumfries considered
Are you an experienced Engineering Manager or Senior Project Manager looking for a role where you can take genuine ownership of projects, people and commercial performance?
Escape Recruitment are supporting an established engineering organisation with the appointment of a Utilities Project Manager.
This is a senior position responsible for leading a project delivery function and overseeing capital projects from initial survey and estimating through to installation, commissioning and completion.
What you'll be responsible for:
- Leading and developing a team of Project Managers and project delivery professionals
- Managing capital projects from inception through to completion
- Managing budgets, forecasting, profitability and commercial performance
- NEC3 contract management
- Resource planning and project scheduling
- Customer and stakeholder management
- Project risk, issue and recovery management
- Health, safety, quality and environmental compliance
- Continuous improvement across project delivery
- Supporting the wider commercial and business development activity

What we're looking for:
You'll ideally have:
- Engineering or technical project delivery experience
- Experience managing capital/industrial projects
- Previous leadership responsibility
- Strong commercial and financial awareness
- NEC3 contract experience
- Experience managing budgets and/or P&L
- Strong customer and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent planning and organisational ability

An engineering qualification is advantageous, although significant relevant experience will also be considered.
