Job Description
As a Utilities Surveyor you’ll be responsible for carrying out utility detection and topographical surveys, collecting and processing high quality survey data, and delivering accurate outputs in line with company standards.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Survey Lead and Project Delivery Team to determine the most appropriate surveying techniques and technologies to deliver projects effectively.
- Carry out utilities and topographical surveys, including lifting covers, undertaking precision measurements, and accurately locating underground services.
- Operate electromagnetic locating equipment, Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), and vehicle-towed GPR systems to identify and map underground utilities.
- Process survey data using AutoCAD (2D/3D) and other specialist software, ensuring outputs meet company quality standards.
- Take ownership of project data, following company protocols from collection through to final delivery.
- Work flexibly, including occasional night shifts, travel, and confined space working where required.

What We’re Looking For

- 2+ years’ utilities surveying experience.
- Strong experience using electromagnetic locating equipment and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR).
- Experience operating GPS/GNSS surveying equipment.
- Understand of PAS128 utility surveying standards.
- CSCS certification.
- Willingness to undertake confined space work in sewers.
- Strong technical understanding of utility surveying methods and instrumentation.
- Full UK manual driving licence.
Contract
FTC (6 months), full time
