Where will you be working?
At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives.
We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation.
This role will be within our Electricity Transmission Contract based throughout the UK. Full training will be given, so no experience is necessary (although advantageous), but the role is very physical and requires the aptitude to be able to work at height.
As a Utility Erector you will be part of our fantastic Site Team who are responsible for the safe Delivery of our Transmission Contracts where we refurbish, upgrade, build and repair Transmission Towers (Pylons).
The working pattern for this role is Monday to Friday, and one weekend on and one off pattern.

As the Utility Erector you will be trained and then carry out:
- General Rigging - Rigging towers for lifting/lowering of equipment and materials whilst supervised
- Earthing - Earthing duties as a member of a working party including applying earths whilst supervised
- Spacer/de-spacer - The installation and removal of Spacers from conductors whilst supervised. Pre inspection of Spacer Chairs prior to use
- Clip in/out & reinsulate - Re-insulation works including working from a platform / ladder whilst supervised
- Platform erection & working - Assist in assembling platforms, rigging and ‘holding out’ whilst supervised

What you’ll bring?
- Good communication skills
- Able to work as part of a team
- Able to follow instructions
- Any mechanical/ Engineering knowledge would be advantageous but not essential
- A respect for Health and Safety is paramount due to the nature of the work
- You must possess a high degree of manual dexterity demonstrated through the use of hand tools
- You will be required to work outdoors in all weathers and be required to walk and stand on uneven ground
- You will be required to work and stay away from home.
- You must also be able to work at Height
