This is a full-time, on-site role for a Utility-Scale Solar PV Electrician based in Tipton. The role involves performing electrical work, maintenance, and repair on utility-scale solar photovoltaic systems. Responsibilities include:
- Installing, inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing solar PV systems
- Compliance with industry standards and safety protocols
- Efficient problem-solving
- Adherence to guidelines
- Collaboration with team members to ensure the successful operation of solar PV projects
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Electricity and understanding of Electrical Work
- Experience in Maintenance & Repair, and troubleshooting electrical systems
- Knowledge of Electrical Engineering and ability to apply principles in practical settings
- Strong safety awareness and commitment to following industry standards
- Relevant certifications and qualifications in electrical work or solar PV systems (e.g., NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, 2391 Testing and Inspection certification) are advantageous
- Proven ability to perform well in a team and independently, with excellent problem-solving skills
- Previous experience in renewable energy or solar projects is a plus
- Willingness to travel across the UK as required by mobile projects
