MCD Utility Surveyor Opportunity

MCD are a nationwide company with offices located across the country. Our Utility Surveying team is rapidly growing and taking on more projects across the UK. Therefore, we are always looking for experienced Utility Surveyors to join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities

Our utility surveyors are responsible for undertaking utility clearance surveys, full utility mapping surveys and PAS128 surveys on site. Some office work is required to complete utility drawings and occasional business development tasks.

Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who has a strong work ethic, is pro-active and has a high attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role.

Additional technical requirements for this role include:

  • A full Proqual level 3 utility mapping surveyor qualification
  • Capable of using GPR, GPS, CAT and Genny equipment
  • Able to carry out utility surveys from start to finish
  • Able to carry out PAS128 surveys
  • Sufficient knowledge of CAD
  • Be willing to travel nationwide with some overnight stays
  • Happy to communicate with clients and site managers
  • Willing to learn new things i.e. topographic surveys
  • At least 1 year worth of experience carrying out utility surveys
  • Happy to work night and weekend shifts if and when required

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK and have a full UK driving license. There will be occasions when work dictates working around the country so working away from home will be essential.

Ability to undertake Topographical Surveys and CCTV Drainage Surveys is beneficial but not a requirement for this role.
