UX Business Analyst | Financial Services Organisation
East Midlands | 2 days in the office
5 month initial contract | £545 per day inside IR35
A leading Financial Services Organisation is looking for an experienced UX Business Analyst to support the development of a new customer-facing digital product.
This is a requirements and analysis-focused role, sitting between customers, business stakeholders, UX/design, and technology teams. You will be responsible for understanding how customers interact with the existing service, identifying pain points and accessibility needs, and translating these findings into clear, actionable requirements for new digital pages and forms.
The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of user experience, customer research, accessibility, and digital requirements gathering, helping ensure the new product is intuitive, accessible, and easy to use.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage directly with customers and stakeholders through interviews, surveys, and usability sessions to understand user needs, behaviours, and pain points.
- Gather, define, and document detailed UX and functional requirements for new customer-facing pages and forms.
- Translate user research and business requirements into clear specifications for designers, developers, and non-UX colleagues involved in the build.
- Act as the link between customers, business stakeholders, and delivery teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Define accessibility requirements, including screen-reader compatibility and wider assistive technology considerations.
- Apply knowledge of WCAG and digital accessibility principles when defining requirements.
- Provide UX guidance and best practice to colleagues designing or configuring digital forms and pages.
- Assess whether proposed platforms and low-code solutions are capable of delivering the required user experience and accessibility standards.
- Produce clear documentation covering requirements, interaction intent, and accessibility expectations.
- Support knowledge transfer and help upskill internal colleagues so UX and accessibility standards can be maintained following the engagement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
