About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at PulsePoint. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software solutions that support our public safety and health initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, a passion for creating impactful technology, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams. You will play a key role in enhancing our existing platforms and contributing to new features that improve user engagement and operational efficiency. Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in software development, particularly in web and mobile applications, is essential. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or Swift is required. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, as well as experience with APIs, databases, and version control systems, is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset are crucial for success in this role. Prior experience working in health tech or public safety sectors will be considered a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications that support PulsePoint’s mission and objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other developers to define project requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices and standards.
- Conduct code reviews and participate in testing to ensure the reliability and security of applications.
- Analyze user feedback and system performance to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary updates.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance our platforms.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure optimal system performance.
- Contribute to the documentation of technical specifications, system architecture, and user guides.
