About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and entrepreneurial Principal UX Designer to join our team. This pivotal role involves leading the design and development of a strategically important product area from its inception. As a senior, hands-on leader, you will work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders to shape innovative solutions that simplify complex financial processes. Your expertise will drive the creation of impactful experiences that resonate with customers and deliver tangible value. This is an exceptional opportunity for a creative professional who thrives in a startup-like environment, enjoys building from zero, and is passionate about turning ambitious ideas into reality.

You should possess strong product judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to explain your design decisions clearly. Experience in the financial technology sector, particularly in accounting, bookkeeping, or payments, is highly desirable. Candidates should be proficient with prototyping tools such as Figma, and comfortable leveraging AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and quality. A deep understanding of customer needs, combined with the ability to work effectively with engineers and product managers, is essential. Additionally, familiarity with complex systems and a curiosity about simplifying processes will set you apart.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
