About The Role
We are seeking a talented UX Designer to join our dynamic team in Manchester on a hybrid work basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative digital products by creating seamless user experiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing intuitive user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and conducting usability testing to ensure optimal user engagement. You will work closely with product managers, researchers, UI designers, and engineers to shape new features, enhance existing experiences, and validate design decisions. This position is ideal for a creative and analytical individual passionate about understanding user problems and translating insights into practical, accessible digital journeys.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in UX, product, or interaction design, demonstrating a strong portfolio that showcases the user-centered design process and successful project outcomes. Essential qualifications include proficiency in wireframing, prototyping, and interaction design tools such as Figma. A solid understanding of usability testing, user research, and accessibility standards is required. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, confidence working within cross-functional teams, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. A background in responsive digital product design and familiarity with accessibility guidelines will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
As a UX Designer at Birchwell Digital, your core responsibilities will include:
- Mapping user journeys
- Creating task flows
- Designing end-to-end digital experiences
- Developing wireframes, prototypes, and interaction designs to communicate concepts effectively
- Supporting user interviews, usability testing, and design validation
- Translating research findings and product requirements into practical UX solutions
- Promoting accessibility, consistency, and user-centered design standards

Benefits
Birchwell Digital offers a competitive salary package ranging from £45,000 to £58,000, commensurate with experience. The role provides a hybrid working model from Manchester, enabling flexibility and work-life balance. You will have the opportunity to work on varied UX projects across discovery, prototyping, testing, and delivery phases, gaining broad experience in digital product design.
