Job Title: UX Designer

Location: London

Contract Length: 6 months (Possible extensions)

Working pattern: 2 days per week in the office, via Umbrella company

Are you a visionary UX Designer with a passion for crafting exceptional mobile-first experiences? Our client is seeking a talented individual to join their dynamic team for a temporary 6-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to shape user interactions and elevate digital experiences in a fast-paced environment!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Excellence: Create high-quality, production-ready mobile-first experiences that resonate with users.
  • Interaction Design: Apply strong interaction design principles, hierarchy, and usability to ensure intuitive user experiences.
  • Real-World Constraints: Design with an understanding of real-world scenarios, states, and edge cases, ensuring every user journey is seamless.
  • AI Integration: Define how AI responds, guides, recovers, and escalates, designing non-linear, adaptive experiences that enhance user engagement.
  • Conversational Interfaces: Work across conversational UIs (chat, assistants) and UI components, crafting proactive prompts and coherent multi-turn interactions.
  • Unifying Experiences: Shape separate features into a consistent interaction layer, ensuring continuity across user journeys with consistent interaction patterns.
  • Collaborative Design: Partner closely with Content and Conversation Design teams to refine interaction patterns and response structures, creating a unified experience.
  • Behavioural Insights: Contribute to AI interaction patterns, response design, and behavioural refinement through rigorous testing and iteration.
  • Lifecycle Management: Navigate the entire design lifecycle from discovery to testing, using research and data to define meaningful problems.

What You Bring:

  • Strong UX Skills: Proven expertise in product and mobile UX design.
  • Conversational UI Experience: Familiarity with conversational UIs, chat interfaces, and dynamic AI-driven systems.
  • Understanding of AI Behaviour: Knowledge of LLM behaviour and its implications on user experience.
  • Testing Proficiency: Active participation in human-in-the-loop testing, interpreting results to enhance design and AI behaviour.
  • Mindset for Innovation: Comfortable with ambiguity, you create clarity for others to act upon, and you are experimental in your design approach.
  • Outcome-Driven Focus: You know how to measure success through meaningful changes and user-centric outcomes.
  • Self-Directed: A proactive mindset that thrives without waiting for perfect briefs.
