UX Designer
Location: Cheltenham – Hybrid, 2 days per week on-site
Salary: Up to £50,000
Benefits: Flexible hybrid working, collaborative agency environment, and opportunity to develop your CRO expertise
Our client, a growing digital agency, is hiring a UX Designer to join its digital team and work across a varied portfolio of client projects.
This is a hands-on UX role with an additional focus on conversion rate optimization (CRO). You’ll work directly with clients to understand their users, identify opportunities, design effective digital experiences, and use data and testing to continually improve performance.
You don’t need to be a CRO strategist already. This is an opportunity for an experienced UX Designer with a user-centred, data-informed approach to develop deeper CRO skills and build conversion-focused design into their toolkit.
What you’ll do
- Lead UX design activity across a range of client websites and digital experiences
- Work directly with clients to understand user needs, business objectives, and areas for improvement
- Translate research, insight, and data into user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and design recommendations
- Identify opportunities to improve usability, engagement, and conversion
- Design and support experiments and A/B tests as part of ongoing CRO programs
- Analyse test results and performance data to understand what is and isn’t working
- Recommend UX and conversion improvements based on evidence and user behaviour
- Feed insights and findings into the wider team to help inform broader client strategy

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
