About The Role
We are seeking a talented UX Designer to join Triad Group Plc, working on diverse client assignments that aim to improve digital services and user experiences. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in understanding user needs, designing intuitive interfaces, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver impactful solutions. This role involves conducting user research, producing design artefacts, creating prototypes, and facilitating workshops to gather stakeholder input. The UX Designer will be instrumental in shaping the UX language of Triad, ensuring accessibility and inclusion are at the core of all design activities. The position offers flexibility, with options to work at client locations, remotely, or from our offices in Godalming or Milton Keynes. The salary is negotiable based on experience, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a relevant degree or equivalent qualification related to UX, design, or a related field—though this is desirable rather than mandatory. Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be willing and eligible to achieve a minimum of SC clearance. To be eligible, candidates should have been residents in the UK for at least five years and hold the right to work in the UK. A strong portfolio demonstrating successful UX projects is essential, showcasing your ability to craft user-centered designs that solve real-world problems. Relevant certifications and experience working within government standards or with accessibility guidelines (such as WCAG 2.2) will be considered advantageous.

Responsibilities
- User research: Plan and conduct user research using methods like interviews and surveys to identify user needs, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
- Analysis: Analyze research data to uncover insights and triangulate findings across multiple sources for comprehensive understanding.
- Producing artefacts: Develop personas, user journeys, service blueprints, and other artefacts based on research insights.
- Design and iteration: Create wireframes and visual designs at various fidelity levels, incorporating stakeholder feedback to refine solutions.
- Prototyping: Build interactive prototypes to test design concepts and gather user feedback effectively.
- Workshops: Facilitate workshops with stakeholders and users to gather insights, validate ideas, and foster collaboration.
- Stakeholder collaboration: Work closely with clients, business analysts, technical teams, and product owners to shape and develop user experiences aligned with project goals.
- Usability testing: Plan, conduct, and analyze usability tests to evaluate the effectiveness and accessibility of digital services.
- Accessibility and inclusion: Ensure all research and design activities consider accessibility requirements, adhering to WCAG 2.2 guidelines and inclusive design principles.
- Information architecture and navigation: Research and design intuitive information structures to enhance user navigation and overall experience.
- Measuring success: Define and track success metrics in collaboration with stakeholders to facilitate ongoing service improvement.
- Agile working: Collaborate within agile teams, participating in sprints, stand-ups, and iterative development cycles.
- Advocacy and education: Promote user-centered design principles within client teams, providing training and mentorship as needed.
- Community contribution: Engage with and contribute to the UX community of practice, staying updated on industry best practices and innovations.
