About The Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Associate UX Designer to join our expanding Experience Design team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering intuitive, user-centered service experiences that meet both user needs and business objectives. You will play a vital part in shaping digital services by applying your expertise in design principles, journey mapping, and service design methodologies. Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will advocate for best practices in UX design, facilitate ideation workshops, and contribute to the development of design systems. Your insights will help prioritize features, improve accessibility, and enhance usability, ensuring our solutions are accessible, inclusive, and impactful. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical knowledge, practical experience, and a passion for user-centered design. Essential qualifications include experience in guiding the creation of design systems and advocating best practices through example. You should have demonstrated ability in facilitating ideation workshops, creating journey and process maps, and analyzing existing information architecture to inform design improvements. Familiarity with research methodologies, accessibility audits, and usability testing is required. Candidates should be comfortable working within technical and business constraints, contributing to strategic planning, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Experience working in Agile environments and a strong understanding of information architecture, interaction design, and visual design principles are highly desirable. A background in digital agencies or active participation in industry communities will be considered advantageous.

Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and maintenance of design systems, ensuring consistency and adherence to best practices across projects.
- Facilitate ideation workshops and collaborative sessions to generate innovative solutions and align stakeholders around design concepts.
- Create and utilize journey maps, process flows, and service blueprints to guide design decisions and prioritize features.
- Conduct research activities, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights and validate design choices.
- Perform accessibility audits and usability evaluations to ensure digital services are inclusive and user-friendly.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to translate user needs into functional designs and prototypes.
- Advocate for user-centered design principles within the organization, demonstrating the value of UX in achieving business goals.
- Contribute to the development and maturity of the UX design practice at Kainos by sharing knowledge and mentoring junior team members.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continually enhance design quality and innovation.
