About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team at PulsePoint. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that support our mission to enhance emergency response capabilities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and quality assurance, to deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of our users. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, has a strong background in software development, and is committed to creating impactful products that save lives and improve public safety.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience in software development, with proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Strong understanding of web technologies, APIs, and database management systems.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement software solutions that align with project requirements and organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to gather and analyze user needs and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Maintain and improve existing applications by troubleshooting issues and implementing enhancements.
  • Contribute to the development of technical documentation and user manuals.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our software offerings.
  • Support deployment and integration of applications within cloud environments and ensure scalability and security.
