Job Introduction

Handelsbanken combines a long-established relationship banking model with secure, resilient, and customer-focused technology. Our technology teams enable the Bank’s decentralised way of working, delivering systems built for stability, trust, and long-term value.

We are on a multi-year technology and digital transformation journey to enhance customer experience and improve how colleagues work together. By modernising platforms, simplifying processes, and better connecting data and systems, we help relationship teams focus on customers and less on complexity.

Our decentralised culture extends to technology. Teams are trusted to take ownership, make informed decisions, and deliver sustainable, high-quality solutions. We value engineering excellence, pragmatic problem-solving, and strong collaboration across technology, business, and risk.

We offer technologists the opportunity to build lasting careers, deepen their expertise, and contribute to meaningful change. We look for people who care about quality, security, long-term impact, and who want to shape the future of a relationship-led bank.

We also recognise that flexibility can support people to perform at their best, and that it looks different for everyone. While arrangements will depend on the requirements of the role and the needs of the business, we are open to having a conversation around what flexibility could look like for you.

As a recognised leader in responsible banking, Handelsbanken is focused on driving positive outcomes for customers, colleagues and society, with a growing emphasis on sustainability, digital enablement and improving the colleague and customer experience.

Working within the Customer Lifecycle team responsible for Salesforce CRM

You will act as the UX design subject matter expert across Salesforce product teams, helping shape the future colleague experience within the platform. The role requires an experienced designer who understands the trade-offs between Salesforce out-of-the-box functionality, configuration and customisation, and can make evidence-based design recommendations accordingly.

You will work closely with product, technology and business stakeholders to create colleague experiences that are intuitive, efficient and aligned to the needs of Handelsbanken's branch network. Success in this role requires the ability to design within platform constraints while maintaining a strong focus on usability, adoption and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the UX and UI design lead for Salesforce CRM, applying expertise in Salesforce Lightning Design System, platform capabilities and design best practice.
  • Design colleague-facing experiences that improve usability, adoption and decision-making, providing clear customer, workflow and risk context.
  • Translate complex business processes, regulatory requirements and user needs into user journeys, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes and detailed UI designs.
  • Work closely with product, technology and business stakeholders to shape solutions that balance user needs, business outcomes, risk requirements and delivery effort.
  • Provide recommendations on the appropriate use of Salesforce out-of-the-box functionality, configuration and customisation, using evidence and design judgement to influence decisions.
  • Define and evolve reusable Salesforce design patterns, standards and components to improve consistency and reduce design debt.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are technically feasible and effectively implemented, including support for Lightning Web Components where required.
  • Facilitate workshops and conduct user research, usability testing and colleague engagement activities to validate solutions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Produce clear design artefacts and specifications, ensuring solutions meet accessibility, governance, regulatory and risk requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
