UX Engineer / Developer (TypeScript React) London / WFH to £60k

Are you a UX Engineer who combines strong frontend engineering skills with a passion for building intuitive, high performance user experiences?

You could be joining a technology driven financial markets business where you'll shape the user experience across sophisticated trading and risk management applications. You'll work across design and engineering, improving usability and consistency while building responsive, data rich interfaces that help users make decisions in real time.

As a UX Engineer, you'll deliver end-to-end frontend features across order management and risk management systems, working closely with backend engineers and other teams on functionality spanning the full stack. You'll have genuine influence over UI design principles, frontend architecture and the tools used to build and maintain a consistent product experience.

Using React and TypeScript, you'll develop intuitive interfaces, real-time market data visualisations and high performance, spreadsheet like data grids. You'll help establish WebSocket based communication between frontend and backend services, improve state and data management and contribute to the evolution of a scalable frontend monorepo. You'll also use frontend monitoring and session replay to understand real user behaviour, investigate issues and continuously improve the experience.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
