UX/UI Designer

Are you passionate about creating intuitive, user-focused digital experiences? We're looking for a talented UX/UI Designer to join our growing Digital team, helping to shape and enhance digital products that support business growth and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Working closely with Product Managers, Developers and key stakeholders across the business, you'll use research, insight and design thinking to create seamless digital journeys, transform complex processes into intuitive solutions, and champion user-centred design across our digital estate.

Please note: This is a fixed term contract opportunity of up to 12 months.

What will you be doing as a UX/UI Designer?

  • Designing engaging, user-friendly digital experiences across web-based platforms and products.
  • Creating wireframes, user flows, prototypes and high-fidelity designs using Figma and other design tools.
  • Conducting and contributing to user research, usability testing and validation activities to inform design decisions.
  • Translating complex business requirements and legacy processes into simple, intuitive digital solutions.
  • Supporting and evolving design systems, component libraries and UI standards to ensure consistency across multiple brands and platforms.
  • Ensuring designs meet accessibility standards and responsive design best practices.
  • Working collaboratively with Product Managers, Developers, business stakeholders and external agencies throughout the design and development lifecycle.
  • Producing clear design documentation and supporting successful handover, testing and implementation of new solutions.
  • Contributing to innovation initiatives and helping drive continuous improvement across our digital products and services.

What are we looking for in our next UX/UI Designer?

  • Significant experience in UX/UI design, ideally within complex digital environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Figma, including wireframing, prototyping and interactive design.
  • Experience creating user flows, sitemaps, wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes.
  • Sound understanding of user-centred design principles, usability testing and user research methodologies.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
  • Ability to translate business requirements and customer insights into effective digital experiences.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards, responsive design and digital best practices.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with front-end development principles (HTML, CSS and component-based design) would be advantageous.
  • Experience working within regulated industries, financial services, fintech or similarly complex environments would be highly beneficial.
