We are looking for an experienced UX/UI Designer & Front-End Developer to lead the design and continuous improvement of ARC’s digital product portfolio. You will combine user-centred design with practical front-end engineering, turning complex scientific, regulatory and operational workflows into clear, accessible and high-performing experiences.

You will be ARC’s subject matter expert for user experience, accessibility, design systems and front-end standards. Working closely with Product, Software Engineering, AI Engineering and Test Engineering, you will help evolve ARC’s Digital solutions and contribute to future technology solutions—from early discovery through to production delivery.

Job Purpose

To play a leading role in the design, development and continuous improvement of ARC's digital platforms, ensuring customers benefit from intuitive, accessible and high-performing user experiences. The postholder will combine UX/UI expertise with front-end engineering capability, translating customer needs and business requirements into scalable digital solutions.

As ARC's subject matter expert for user experience, accessibility, design systems and front-end standards, the UX/UI Designer & Front-End Developer will lead the development and governance of the Design System, ensuring consistency, usability and scalability across current and future products. Working closely with Product, Engineering and AI teams, the role will help shape the future evolution of ARC’s Digital Solutions and wider technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead user research activities through interviews, workshops, surveys, usability testing and customer-feedback analysis.
  • Create user journeys, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes and polished interface designs.
  • Own and evolve the Design System, establishing consistent, accessible and scalable UI standards.
  • Translate complex customer and business needs into intuitive product experiences that deliver measurable value.
  • Build responsive, maintainable and production-ready front-end solutions using modern web technologies.
  • Develop reusable UI components and support the modernisation of ARC Digital Product Portfolio and future digital platforms.
  • Collaborate throughout the software development lifecycle with Product Managers, Software Engineers, AI Engineers and Test Engineers.
  • Design clear experiences for AI-enabled workflows, intelligent automation and emerging product capabilities.
  • Champion design thinking, usability, accessibility and continuous improvement across ARC.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
