About The Role
The UX/UI Product Designer role at Reed offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of internal web applications used in housing maintenance and management services. This fixed-term contract position is ideal for a talented designer passionate about creating clear, accessible, and efficient digital experiences for complex data-driven systems. The successful candidate will play a vital part in transforming intricate workflows and operational processes into intuitive interfaces that support frontline staff and internal stakeholders. Working remotely within the UK, the role involves occasional visits once per quarter to facilitate collaboration and project alignment.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess a minimum of four years of professional experience in UX/UI design, particularly within enterprise or internal tools. A bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required. A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in UX problem-solving, information architecture, and responsive web design is essential. Familiarity with design systems, scalable UI patterns, and reusable components is highly desirable. Additionally, candidates should have an understanding of front-end development considerations and version control tools such as Git or Azure DevOps. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams are crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities
The UX/UI Product Designer will be responsible for creating user-centered designs for internal applications that handle complex data and workflows. Key tasks include:
- Translating operational processes and business rules into straightforward, task-focused user journeys
- Defining information architecture, including navigation structures and taxonomies
- Designing dashboards, reporting views, and interactive UI elements to facilitate better data analysis and decision-making
- Developing accessible forms and multi-step workflows, ensuring all designs comply with WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards
- Crafting user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs using Figma
- Collaborating closely with Product Owners, stakeholders, developers, and testers to ensure user needs are met and projects are delivered successfully
