Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in UX and UI design, particularly for SaaS platforms or fintech products. You should have a proven track record of designing complex workflows and transforming them into simple, user-friendly interfaces. Experience creating and maintaining comprehensive design systems in Figma is essential, along with a solid understanding of responsive and mobile-first design principles. You should be comfortable working directly with developers, wireframing, and prototyping ideas swiftly to iterate and refine concepts. Strong commercial awareness is important, as you will need to understand how design impacts user engagement, conversion, and operational efficiency. Fintech experience, especially within lending, banking, payments, or financial marketplaces, is advantageous but not mandatory. Above all, we value your ability to think critically about product functionality and your confidence in challenging existing assumptions to deliver innovative solutions.

  • Designing data visualizations, dashboards, and portals that simplify complex financial information for users.
  • Implementing responsive and mobile-first design strategies to optimize usability across devices.
  • Participating in user testing and feedback sessions to refine designs and improve user satisfaction.
  • Challenging existing product assumptions and proposing innovative solutions to enhance functionality and user engagement.
